A diverse portfolio of Sunshine Coast Council-sponsored events has achieved the highest economic windfall on record, reaping an estimated $112.6 million for our region. The outstanding outcome was highlighted in the recently released Sunshine Coast Events Board 2023-24 report.

Delivering the region’s first billion-dollar budget, creating an Olympic Games legacy and providing key services for our community were key achievements outlined in Sunshine Coast Council’s 2022-23 Annual Report.

The Sunshine Coast is striding forward with a clear plan for a new economy that sees the region on track to generate thousands of jobs, increasingly higher incomes for locals, plus an expansion of high-value industries honing in on areas such as digital tech, production and the circular economy.
